DSCSA & 340B Living in Both Worlds

The Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) was designed to protect American’s from counterfeit and suspect drugs, which in of itself is a multimillion dollar problem that injures or kills over a million people a year worldwide. The original mission of the Health and Human Services (HHS) 340B drug discount program was to provide the neediest patient’s access to critical medications at steeply discounted prices. Each of these programs have been developed and implemented independently but now that they are in full effect they have created some implementation challenges and resulted in some unintended consequences for healthcare organizations and pharmacies that live in both worlds.

Find out what this means and more about navigating the challenges of modern 340B programs in conjunction with complying with DSCSA, for the webinar recording, please contact us.
